Image that: you have created and finished developing the best mobile game app and you can’t wait to let gamers all around the world be played on both Apple and Android devices but how can you drive traffic to these different app stores? Also, your final goal is to drive users to do actions, not just installs. But how can you make them do the transaction?

Well… UACs, an automated ad type in Google Ads, is here for you.

What are Google Universal App Campaigns?

UACs are in the short term of Google Universal App Campaigns that help marketers generate more app installs and/or driven in-app conversions. The most beautiful thing is that they use Google’s AI to identify your best-performing ads and show your app to the most relevant users. Unlike traditional Google Ads Campaigns, the UACs increase your workflow in marketing work and is a time-saving marketing approach because Google creates ads for you from the text and digital assets you set. Therefore, uploading images, text lines, and videos will optimize your overall impression and continue to show those ads to the right users. Furthermore, compared to responsive search ads, the UACs ads are shown across many of Google’s advertising placements.

In fact, Google claims that the UACs drive 140% more conversions per dollar than with other Google app promo products.

How do Universal App Campaigns work?

Although marketers don’t need to create ads for multiple ads placement and keywords for your campaigns, here are needs still to be set up manually:

  • A daily budge
  • Target geographic locations and language
  • A few lines of text and creative assets
  • A campaign start date

After settings are being done, you are ready to go. With UACs ads you will now show up in the following places:

  • Google Search
  • Google Play
  • YouTube
  • Google Display Network

My key takeaway

UACs are an efferent way to acquire new users for your mobile app. Google helps show the most relevant ads to the right audience to enhance higher conversions for the campaign and the ad can be displayed on Google's largest ad networks, and it is easy to set up and maintain. However, user lifetime value can be an issue. For example, users installed a free app, but they may uninstall it the next day. So, I believe that it is better for marketers that try to do multiple media strategies which will advance their products or services, not just choose one as your campaign.
